Privacy Policy

Invoice Collector doesn't have a server, so it can't send your data anywhere. Everything — scanning billing pages, downloading PDFs, remembering what you've already collected — happens locally inside your own Chrome profile.
We never see your invoices, your login credentials, or which portals you use. There is nothing to breach, sell, or hand over, because nothing leaves your computer.
Overview
This policy explains what Invoice Collector (“the extension,” “we,” “it”) does with your information. It covers the extension only, distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and applies to every version from 0.3.0 onward.

What we collect
Nothing is transmitted to us, because the extension has no backend server to transmit it to. The table below is the complete list of data the extension touches, and where each piece stays.
We never collect
- – Your passwords or login sessions
- – The contents of your invoices
- – Your browsing history
- – Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- – Your identity, email, or account details
Stored only on your device
- ✓ Which portals you've enabled
- ✓ A list of invoice URLs already downloaded (so nothing duplicates)
- ✓ Collection history: portal name, invoice date, amount, file name
- ✓ Any custom portals you add
- ✓ Your reminder and settings preferences
All of this lives in Chrome's local storage API, scoped to your browser profile. It is not synced to any account of ours, because no such account exists.
How the extension works
When you click Collect invoices, the extension opens each selected portal's billing page in a background browser tab — using your own, already-logged-in session — reads the page for links that look like invoices, and downloads matching PDFs through Chrome's own downloads system into a folder in your Downloads directory.
That page-reading logic runs as a short script injected into the tab, entirely inside your browser's sandbox. It never opens a network connection of its own kind; it only looks at content the page already loaded for you.
Permissions, explained

You can review or revoke any site's access at any time from Chrome's chrome://extensions page, under Invoice Collector's site access settings.
Data retention & your control
Because everything is stored locally, you are the only one who can access, export, or delete it:
- The dashboard lets you export your full collection history as a CSV file at any time.
- “Reset duplicate memory” in Settings clears the record of previously downloaded invoices.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from your browser.
- Clearing a specific site's permission also removes the extension's access to that site.
Security
Because Invoice Collector has no server and transmits nothing over the network on our behalf, the usual risks of a central data breach don't apply. Your data is only as secure as your own device and Chrome profile — the same as any file already sitting in your Downloads folder.
Children's privacy
Invoice Collector is a business and accounting utility, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — children or otherwise, since we do not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note it in the extension's Chrome Web Store release notes.
